6.I Partial Appointments
Save section as a PDFA partial appointment is an appointment that is less than 100% effort. If the instructional track portion of a partial appointment is less than 80% effort, the University “tenure clock” does not run during the time the appointment is below 80%. Any changes in title, rank, or appointment fractions that start or stop the tenure clock require the prior written approval of the provost and executive vice president for academic affairs.
