Save section as a PDFIn recognition of the environmental health risks posed by tobacco smoke, the University is a smoke-free campus. The right of a non-smoker to protect his or her health and comfort takes precedence over another’s desire to smoke. Smoking is prohibited in all University facilities, including offices, classrooms, elevators, restrooms, stairways, and University vehicles. See SPG 601.04. State law prohibits smoking in public buildings and elevators.
